PhD in Medicine from the University of Navarra and is a specialist in Geriatrics and Gerontology. In 2025, he took over as president of CEAPs (Business Circle for Care Services), a leading organisation in the long-term care sector in Spain. Since 2015, he has been president of ANEA (Navarra Association of Care Organisations).

In 2007, he founded and became the managing director of IDEA, an organisation that develops and manages various centres and services, consultancy, R&D&I and specialised training in the gerontology and social healthcare sectors.

National Research Award in Gerontology (2006). Aster-ESIC Best Entrepreneur Award (2012). He was an Associate Professor of Geriatrics at the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing, University of Navarra (2004–2018).

In 2007, he published the book “Longevidad con éxito” (Successful Longevity), a leading work on longevity studies in Spain.
